This time he’s taking aim at those who  “abuse police.” “I won’t tolerate it period. You shoot at the police, expect us to shoot back,” Jones said in a press release Wednesday. Jones  says  he’s seen “lawlessness” directed at police in cities across the country including shots being fired at officers. He recounts incidents involving police including water dumped on officers in New York, frozen water bottles being thrown, as well as officers blinded by lasers in Portland, Oregon. The most recent  incident  involving shots fired at police officers locally occurred Monday in suburban Warren County, when a chase resulted in a shootout during which a Middletown police officer sustained gunshot wounds.  Facebook political ads ban, Facebook will ban new political ads from running in the week . Facebook  announced  Thursday it will ban new political ads from running in the week before the Nov. 3 presidential election. The action is narrow, banning only political ads submitted in the week before the election but still allowing those submitted before Oct. 27. In addition to the new restriction,  Facebook  said it will link any post from a candidate attempting to declare victory before the final results are in to vote counts from Reuters and the National Election Pool. Until now, CEO Mark Zuckerberg has been adamant about  allowing political ads on Facebook and Instagram , even if candidates use those ads to lie or spread misinformation. Other social media companies, including  Twitter  and  Pinterest , have already banned political ads on their services.  Kenosha John Antaramian curfew, police shooting of Jacob Blake. Kenosha County has ended its state of emergency curfew, according to a news release Wednesday. The curfew was originally put into place due to the civil unrest that occurred in the city of Kenosha following the police shooting of Jacob Blake. Kenosha Mayor John Antaramian said the decision was made after consulting with law enforcement and community leaders. “The last several nights have been relatively peaceful in the community, and in the judgment of law enforcement, it is appropriate to remove the curfew,” Antaramian said. “However, criminal activity will not be tolerated and arrests will be made if needed. I am hopeful there will be no need to reinstate the curfew in the near future.” The decision comes one day after protesters  filed a civil rights lawsuit against the city’s curfew .

Netflix  has given a formal series green light to  Dad Stop Embarrassing Me , a father-daughter comedy starring and executive produced by Oscar winner  Jamie Foxx . The series is inspired by Foxx’s relationship with his daughter, Corinne Foxx, who produces alongside Alex Avant. Kyla-Drew ( The Good Doctor, Jessie ) will play Foxx’s daughter, with David Alan Grier ( A Soldier’s Play, Sprinter ) also starring on the multi-camera comedy. Mr Lai had denied the charge of "criminal intimidation" over a 2017 incident at a Tiananmen massacre vigil. Last month police detained the democracy activist in a separate case under a controversial new security law. He is also facing several other charges over last year's anti-government protests. The 71-year-old's arrest in August sparked global condemnation of the escalating crackdown on dissent in Hong Kong. He was led in handcuffs through his newsroom as more than 200 police officers raided the building in extraordinary scenes streamed live by his Apple Daily newspaper.
